Here’s a bucket list we have prepared for you to discover the best things to do this summer!

Catch the wave and have a beach day!

Relax and unwind with your family and friends by visiting some epic Japanese beaches. Popular beaches in Kanagawa and Okinawa prefecture are known for their white sand and clear waters where you can enjoy different water activities like surfing, diving and snorkelling.

Indulge yourself in a paradise oasis by glamping with your loved ones.

Take a trip while enjoying a luxurious camping style with unique facilities and quality amenities. Visit numerous glamping sites outside the cities, such as the popular Twin Ring Motegi in Tochigi prefecture, with its obstacle courses and a playground for kids. You can also enjoy this season with BBQ sessions while relaxing with the beauty of nature.

Conquer the great Mt. Fuji.

It’s time to take on the challenge of scaling the highest mountain in Japan. The climbing season spans from July until mid-September with different routes, including the Yoshida Trail, Subashiri Trail and Gotemba Trail.

Celebrate at the Beer Garden

From June to September, beer gardens are popular throughout the country. In Tokyo it’s a great opportunity to cool down with a chilled drink (or a few!) and a spectacular view of the city. With refreshing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, you can spend a wonderful time with your family and friends.

Wander through the beautiful flower fields.

Hokkaido’s flower fields are a must-see with colourful and lively gardens you’ll love. Check out the beautiful flower fields in Furano-Biei, Asahikawa, Ueno Farm and Farm Tomita.

Witness the Grand Sumo Tournament.

One of the great ways to experience the most traditional Japanese martial art is by attending the Grand Sumo Tournament every July with a series of matches from the greatest sumo wrestlers.

Treat yourself to popular Japanese dishes.

Many locals and tourists can’t get enough of Japanese delicacies, including nagashi somen and kakigori. Nagashi somen involves catching wheat somen noodles sliding down a bamboo shoot with flowing water, and dipping it in a flavourful broth.

Kakigori is a classic Japanese dessert with puffs of ice topped with condensed milk, syrup, and fresh fruits, including matcha, soybean, and strawberry flavours.
