Miru Residences Hakuba has quickly become one of the standout new development stories in the Hakuba market, with 22 of its 30 residences now either reserved or sold.
The ski-in ski-out project only went on sale earlier this year, making the early response particularly notable. With just eight units now remaining, Miru Residences Hakuba appears to have landed at exactly the right moment, combining location, timing and product in a market where demand continues to build.
Set to open in time for winter 2027, the development offers direct ski-in ski-out access in one of Japan’s most active and increasingly international mountain markets. Hakuba has seen strong buyer interest over the past year, supported by limited new supply, rising international attention and major infrastructure improvements, including the planned new gondola at Happo-one.
That timing matters. Buyers are not only looking at Hakuba as a winter destination, but as a long-term lifestyle and investment location with growing year-round appeal. Miru Residences Hakuba brings a professionally delivered, fully managed product to the market at a point when well-located, new-build stock remains scarce.
The project is being developed by SHC and Ecclesia Asset Management, with management lined up by Miru Collection. Sales and marketing are being handled by Hakuba Real Estate and of course promotion through Uchi, bringing together local market knowledge, international reach and a project team already familiar with the expectations of overseas resort buyers.
The speed of sales reflects both the strength of the Hakuba market and the appeal of the development itself. With 22 units already spoken for and only eight remaining, buyers who have been watching the project may not have much longer to act.
