Japan has removed all COVID-19 entry requirements as of April 29th, 2023!
Is this the moment where we can say that everything has returned to normal?!
You no longer need to present a vaccination certificate or a negative COVID-19 pre-departure test on arrival when coming into Japan!
The Japanese Government still recommends mask wearing in medical institutions, nursing homes and on crowded buses or trains, although this is not enforced by law. Mask wearing in other locations is a personal choice.
As always, we encourage visitors to Japan to be respectful of other travelers as well as local residents. It is worth remembering that mask-wearing when feeling unwell was common in Japan a long time before Coronavirus reared its ugly head. People do this out of respect for others, not wishing to give them an illness, rather than protecting themselves.
Thanks to the continuing weak Japanese yen there has never been a better time to visit Japan, nor a better time to invest! The number of enquiries racing through the Uchi site are beyond anything we have ever seen and any bargains out there will surely be snapped up quickly, so if you are looking for land, apartments, homes or even your own hotel or ryokan start your search right away with Uchi!
