We are delighted to announce the winner of the Hokkaido Powder Triangle Winter Holiday Giveaway in partnership with NISADE and The Luxe Nomad. Over a thousand participants entered this unique holiday giveaway, with only one lucky winner of the 6-day trip to three of Japan’s best ski resorts.
We extend our warmest congratulations to that ONE lucky winner, Amanda Laird!
We had the opportunity to talk with her as she shared her story.
Amanda has lived in Queensland, Australia all her life. She is a property developer, and during her holidays and vacations, she loves enjoying snow sports with her partner. She works for the prominent property developer, Springfield City Group out of there Brookwater office, assisting in the Sale and Development of there final land release, that is seeing multi millions dollar home being built.
She stumbled across Unchi’s Instagram page while researching design ideas to share with her team, while also adding to her dream of one day owning property in Japan. It was then when she saw the Powder Triangle giveaway, so she took the opportunity to join in the off chance that she might finally get back to Japan for the first time since the pandemic.
Prior to the pandemic, Amanda and her partner visited Niseko Moiwa and Rusutsu. She has also had the opportunity to snowboard in the Japanese hills of Hakuba. She fell in love with the place and enjoyed the beautiful scenery, mountain slopes, and the unique ‘japow’ experience.
“There are not many tourists, more locals get to interact with and have a conversation. It was like a dreamland. I had the opportunity to take my partner with me.”
Her excitement and happiness extended when she received an email about her winning another opportunity to visit Japan.
She's thrilled to explore other parts of Hokkaido, particularly Furano and what’s in store for them.
“It looks interesting with so many mountains to explore. We discussed having a couple more extra days to explore other areas as well.”
