After a day on the slopes—or even in high summer—unwind at one of Rusutsu’s three year-round onsen. Each offers mineral-rich waters that ease tired muscles and will leave you feeling rejuvenated. First up we have the Rusutsu Onsen - Kotobuki, which is a spacious public bath with panoramic views of the mountain. For a gentle walk or a beginner-friendly outing, the Forest Trail’s soft black soil makes it perfect for both walkers and runners. If you’re looking for a scenic route,  explore the peak of West Mountain with magnificent views of Mount Shiribetsu and the serene waters of Lake Toya. If you’re keen to work up a sweat, take on Mount Shiribetsu, which is about six hours’ of hiking combined with steep climbs and more challenging routes.
