Yoichi has been growing in popularity with tourists over the last few years.

Yoichi itself is famous for fruit growing, the whisky factory and the space museum. Lots of pleasant cafes and restaurants are open all year round and walking around the town the eye catches the pleasant rolling hills that surround it. Access to Sapporo is now very quick since the new motorway opened.
