It is not just beautiful, but a design that suits the style of its inhabitants. It does not seek uniform comfort, but rather has the qualities to ensure that you have the best time in Karuizawa. And it is imbued with the attention to detail and passion for craftsmanship that has been cultivated through our many experiences and achievements. We believe that a villa that fulfils each of these requirements is a work that meets the standards we have set for ourselves.

As the name "Opus" suggests, the villas we create are carefully crafted over time in pursuit of the perfect residence for the location. In addition to the traditional Karuizawa feel, they are a stage where you can fully enjoy the charm born from new ideas and techniques. We can never produce many of them. Instead, we carefully and lovingly finish them. At Jiyukobo, we continue to create homes like these.

**Location**

Nakakaruizawa is a particularly popular area in Karuizawa, where natural beauty and convenience are in harmony. Surrounded by abundant nature that changes with the seasons, the area has good access to train stations and other amenities, making it an ideal environment for both permanent residence and vacation homes.

The area around Nakakaruizawa Station is packed with amenities to make your daily life more comfortable, including large supermarkets, cafes, bakeries, hot spring facilities, etc. The Hoshino area in particular is dotted with trendy restaurants, allowing you to enjoy the sophisticated lifestyle that is characteristic of Karuizawa.

Locates in the heart of Nakakaruizawa, on a vast site of 2,966.87sqm (approximately 897.5 tsubo), four villas of different styles quietly stand with a unified landscape design. Each villa has it own unique aesthetic, but together they create a harmonious landscape, bringing new discoveries and a sense of tranquility with every visit.

**OPUS Villa C:**

- Site size: 902.4sqm (279 tsubo)
- Building size: 278.62 (84 tsubo)

A villa open to the sky, in harmony with the view. This residence, where nature and architectural beauty blend together, fully embraces the charm of Karuizawa, providing special views and experiences every day. The design meticulously interprets the surrounding natural environment, and each window functions as a frame capturing a particular landscape.

Design that that allows the view and light to penetrate the sky.

A home where the "luxury of a view" becomes an everyday experience. The interior has a dynamic spatial composition, enveloped in a large, single-slope roof. The open feeling created by the sloped ceiling, which exudes the warmth of wood, seamlessly connects the architecture with nature. The spacious terrace further enhances the time spent with nature, whether it's for breakfast, reading, or stargazing.

**FACADE**

A sculptural silhouette that opens up to the sky. Viewed from the front, this residence features a sculptural façade with a large, single-gable roof that reaches boldly into the sky. The combination of sharp lines and warm wood materials creates a stately yet airy presence. The grey-toned paneling on the exterior creates a sophisticated look that evokes a sense of calm yet harmony with nature. The changing light and shadow depending on the time of day and season add rich expression to the façade. The wood-clad eaves exude a soft warmth and elegance, welcoming both residents and visitors. The approach and garage are beautifully nestled under the large roof, combining practicality with protection from rain and snow while maintaining a sense of architectural unity. The spacious front yard, with space for two cars, combines convenience and spaciousness. The flow of traffic leading to the front door is naturally designed, creating a high-quality entrance without unnecessary clutter.

An open facade where greenery and architecture blend together. The façade, which opens wide to the lush garden, embodies the beauty of architecture that gently connects the interior and exterior. The large windows and terraces beneath the single-slope roof create a sense of incorporating the garden itself into the living space. The design allows the swaying of the plants and the shifting sunlight to blend seamlessly into everyday life. The upper and lower floors overlap, guided by the gently sloping roof, creating a sculptural elevation with a balanced vertical and horizontal presence. The openings on the first floor emphasize a connection to the ground, while those on the second floor ensure views that take in the distant scenery. The placement of balconies and openings in the walls was also carefully considered to allow for the flow of light and air. The plants adorning the façade were selected to harmonise with the building's colour palette, creating a serene landscape where architecture and nature resonate. The changing seasons—from the budding buds of spring, the deep green of summer, the foliage of autumn, and the silence of winter are like a stage set, providing a colourful backdrop.

**LIVING ROOM**

A lounge in the sky where light, trees and scenery come together. This living room makes the most of the high ceiling, featuring a beautiful wood-clad sloping ceiling that follows the shape of the gable roof and a large glass opening on one wall, creating a sense of openness that makes it seem as if the sky and forest are one. Light streams in softly, quietly conveying the passage of time, and the natural light reflected on the ceiling brings a gentle rhythm to the room. The contrast between the texture of the wood and the white walls is pleasant, and the minimalist interior, which does not obstruct the view, accentuates the beauty of the space. A spacious terrace extends from the living room, blurring the boundary between indoors and outdoors. Designed as a premium seat overlooking the ridge of Mount Asama and the surrounding trees, this space allows everything from the morning light, afternoon breeze, and evening starry sky to blend seamlessly into everyday life.

**INNER TERRACE**

Another living room connected to the sky, overlooking Mount Asama. This inner terrace adjacent to the living room is another "outdoor living room," designed as a special seat with a direct view of Mount Asama. Protected by a deep overhanging roof and high parapet walls, it is a semi-outdoor space that combines comfort and a sense of security, allowing you to fully enjoy the light, breeze, and scenery outside. The details of the floor, ceiling, and sashes seamlessly connect with the interior, allowing it to be used naturally as an extension of the living room. The greatest appeal of this terrace is the sense of distance that allows you to feel close to nature even while indoors. From morning coffee, lunch, to a drink at dusk, there are many ways to spend your time here, depending on the time of day.
